I’ve been fascinated by the marks barnacles leave on the surfaces they’ve once been affixed to. My contemplation of “barnacle shadows” has evolved into the exploration of the different shapes and colors of barnacles on collected stones and oyster shells. This new body of work celebrates these oft ignored yet amply abundant (and fascinating!) sea creatures.
